X-ray
We have the latest digital X-rays in our practice. You can come to us for various types of examinations, namely:
- Official and unofficial examinations for HD/ED (the animal is always put under anesthesia for this!).
- Pregnancy photos (these can be taken from 45 days of pregnancy).
- Heart pictures.
We also regularly take photos of animals that have abdominal complaints, indicate pain in a part of the body or have knee complaints.

Ultrasound
Within our practice we also have the most modern ultrasound technology. In addition, several of our veterinarians have taken courses.
You can contact us for abdominal and cardiographic ultrasounds.
Abdominal ultrasound
If we want to investigate whether there is anything to see in the abdomen, we can search with different heads and techniques. With abdominal echoes you can think of the following possibilities:
- Viewing the bladder.
- Viewing the spleen.
- Viewing the stomach.
- Viewing the liver.
- Determining pregnancy (visible from 28 days after mating).
An ultrasound can usually be done without anesthesia (if your animal allows it). We have various materials and cushions to make your animal lie down as comfortably as possible. You can usually be present during the ultrasound! The vet will first perform the scan and then explain exactly what he/she has found. With this ultrasound we can also save images (photos and videos). We can then forward these to specialists or to you if necessary.
Echocardiography
This echo specifically examines the functioning and appearance of the heart. This allows us to detect heart problems more quickly and start treatment immediately. Our veterinarian Dirk van Aaken makes all these echoes in our practice. For this echo, your animal usually remains awake. In some cases, the veterinarian makes the echo together with the assistant, but usually you can be there yourself. He then first performs the scan together with all the measurements, and then tells you what he has observed. Here too, we can save all the measurements, photos and videos.
