Business support
A typical business guidance consists of fertility guidance, vaccinating animals, taking blood for health statuses, guidance for young cattle, treating sick animals and reviewing the key figures of your business. We always take your wishes and objectives into account.
Fertility counseling:
- We can check pregnancy using ultrasound (scanner) or by hand.
- If there is no heat, check the ovaries, for example due to inactivity or a cyst.
- And immediately after calving, check the uterus to make sure the animal does not have lingering milk fever or uterine inflammation.
Vaccinate:
There are a number of conditions that can be vaccinated against. Below are the vaccinations that we perform most often:
- Calf diarrhea.
- Pink flu.
- E. coli/staphylococcal mastitis.
- IBR.
- In addition, vaccinations can also be given against: BVD, Lungworm, Ringworm/Scabies and Clostridium (the blood).
Health statuses:
We help you to ensure/maintain or improve your health status by taking (mandatory) blood samples, providing advice on changing a status and advising on the supply of livestock.
Key Figures:
Together with you, we can go through and analyze the key figures of your company in order to prevent or solve problems and to continue to guarantee your production. In addition, together with your feed advisor, we can support you with decisions regarding the feeding of your livestock.
Laboratories
Most of our laboratory tests are performed externally. However, we have a small lab at the practice where we can test a number of things to treat as quickly and specifically as possible.
- Bacteriological examination of milk samples, with an appropriate antibiotic sensitivity determination (ABG).
- Manure testing, such as in the case of calf diarrhoea.
- Blood analysis for example to determine the values of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.
